We are seeking a focussed, performance-driven, and highly motivated individual with the technical knowledge, drive, and enthusiasm to lead the Council’s Community Safety and Customer Services

As part of this critical role you will have responsibility for
• Leadership of the Councils statutory Community Safety Responsibilities including
o supporting the delivery the Community Safety Partnership priorities,
o delivery of our local action plan.
o Meeting the Councils statutory responsibilities
o Managing a range of key strategic Partnerships involving senior Leaders and Politicians
o Managing the contracts that support the delivery of a range of community safety responsibilities
• Leadership of a team of Community Safety accredited Officers delivering a range of services which support
o the protection of the Councils Assets and income, (including car parking),
o the deliver a range of statutory services,
o the delivery of the Councils Community Safety Action Plan
• Leadership of the Councils Customer Services team delivering a range of on-line, telephone and face to face services.

Strong technical knowledge of Community Safety and associated legislation, excellent partnership and communication skills, strong customer focus, a good knowledge of best practice and emerging technologies, commercial focused approach, and project management experience are key requirements for this role.

We offer flexible Hybrid working arrangements including a mix of remote and on site working. However, candidates must be fully prepared to be available to visit sites as and when required (sometimes at short notice) and have a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
