Following the exciting announcement in May 2021 that Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure have taken over the management of The London Borough of Redbridge Swim Club, we are recruiting for an enthusiastic Level 1 Swim Coach to join the team to deliver high quality coaching sessions across the swim performance pathway!



The appointed coaches will be expected to utilise the knowledge of senior coaches and the aquatics manager, as well as attendance to CPD’s and the subsequent coaching qualifications to keep apprised of best coaching practices and most up to date knowledge for the betterment of the club as a whole.



The Coach will be expected to follow plans and direction given by senior coaches in line with the clubs ethos and vision.



Job requirements:

Deliver pre-planned coaching sessions appropriate to the ability of the participants.
Attend competitions when required.
Relay relevant information in a timely manner to supervising coach.
The ability to motivate and inspire swimmers to achieve their potential
A willingness to attend and supervise swimmers at various competitions
A willingness to develop planning skills and the ability to communicate clearly
Knowledge of types of training used to develop swimmers
Help deliver the vision set out by the Head Coach & Aquatics Manager.
Work closely with all of the coaches.
Help the transition of swimmers through the club pathways, depending on their ability and commitment levels.
Provide coaching cover when necessary.
Any other duties that the Aquatics Manager sees fit, providing that such duties are appropriate to your role. To be discussed with you prior to being assigned.
To ensure, as a LBRSC-Vision coach, that you are at the forefront of professional coaching standards and are in a position to embrace the latest technology and evidence-based innovation and research.
Be an effective communicator, within the club, and comfortable talking with parents, swimmers, fellow coaches and other key people and organisations professionally and promptly.
Contributing to an effective coaching structure, and engaging actively in continuous personal development.
Willing to attend CPD’s and continue to improve knowledge and skill levels.
Essential requirements:

Assistant Coach (Level 1)
Or Teaching Aquatics (Level 2) working towards Assistant Coach (Level 1)
NPLQ or NRASTC (desired)
