Summary
We are looking for individuals who are already competent with a single needle flat bed industrial sewing machine and an over-locker. Recent experience is essential.
Full or part time; permanent subject to probationary period. You may choose your own working hours, within 9am to 5pm.
Work from home might be possible.
Pay will start at £11.44/hour with the possibility of rising to £12.36/hour depending on your attitude and job performance; some work may occasionally be available at £13.38/hour.
We are a small company making fabric products, mostly although not entirely, for vehicles. You are strongly advised to see our products on our website www.cover-systems.co.uk before applying. Some of them are large; most of our fabrics are lightweight and therefore not too difficult to handle.
You will gain an understanding into how each product is created from start to finish, so you must expect to be able to work from a pattern through to the finished item. You should also expect to learn how to work without a pattern.
You must have a good eye for detail and possess the ability to quality check your own work.
You should be able to follow written and verbal instructions and be able to work on your own. You should have a good command of English, and be able to climb stairs as there is no passenger lift in our building (you can see a photo of it at the foot of the web page mentioned above).
The initial interview will include a sewing test.
