This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Worker to join our team here in West Cumbria. As our Housing and Property Guru, you’ll support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you’ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts in an older people independent living scheme – promoting independence.
Typical day as a Housing Management Worker
· Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, you’ll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
· Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
· To support the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy,
· You’ll carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities making sure we’re compliant.
· You’ll also manage the admin updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works to be done.

You bring.
· A background in property management, but that’s not a deal breaker! Perhaps you’ve worked in an environment with compliance and health and safety checks?
· A “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
· A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
· The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
· Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners.
· Passion for property and get a thrill out of knowing that your properties are the best they can be for our customers!

You’ll join Tina Knight and our Cumbria over 55’s and learning disabilites team, we’re super passionate about what we do! We’re really proud of our achievements. We’re a supportive bunch and like to meet once a month for a team catch up.
Job details
· Monday to Friday 8:30 – 12:15 but we can be flexible around yours and the customers needs
· Based at our service in Egremont you’ll spend your in the scheme or supporting other Housing management workers in the area
· Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,
· To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
· You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
