We have exciting opportunities to join our Step down Trauma Orthopaedic Ward at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport. We have a dedicated caring team who work closely with the MDT which offers successful applicants to access the Journey of Excellence (JoE) professional development programme aligned to the learning and development opportunities offered within the Health Board.

The Role of the RN is to support the Senior staff with the running of a busy Trauma & Orthopaedic ward on a shift by shift basis and take charge of the clinical area in the absence of the person who has continuing responsibility or his/her deputy.

To be responsible for the assessment, planning implementation and
evaluation of care.

To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.

To develop an understanding of the requirements of the National Service
Framework.

We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse to join our Trauma Team.

Applicants must have full NMC Registration.

Ward C7E is a busy step-down Trauma & Orthopaedic ward looking after a range of patients. The successful applicant must have an interest in trauma, have excellent communication skills and work well in a multidisciplinary team. Sound assessment skills are vital.

Individuals must be motivated, enthusiastic and reliable. You must be a team player who is committed to improving the patient experience.

The ward aims to give high quality care to their patients and the new team member must be committed to continual service improvement within these specialities. This post would enable applicants to access the Journey of Excellence (JoE) professional development programme aligned to the learning and development opportunities offered within the Health Board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
