Crynodeb
A close working relationship between East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) and Broomfield Hospital is increasingly important and provides a vital link in the long and difficult journey on which many of our patients who are conveyed to hospitals embark. The Hospital Ambulance Liaison Officer (HALO) works with the acute trust to ensure that we deliver an outstanding quality of care and performance.
Our HALOs work diligently with internal and Broomfield Hospital stakeholders to ensure that hospital delays are reduced to an absolute minimum, ambulance availability is sustained, and patients in the local communities receive the appropriate response to emergency calls.
The HALO requires a high level of paramedic clinical expertise to enable credible discussions with consultant led teams at the acute hospital trusts. HCPC registration with recommended at least 2 years post experience working in ambulance operations is essential. Although the HALO position is well established, the role continues to evolve.
As part of the local management team, HALOs are required to initiate staff welfare as required in addition to fulfilling many of the management functions required to maintain high levels of ambulance availability..
Successful candidates will need to be highly motivated, and able to motivate and inspire others.
Please note this secondment is a 9 month secondment.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and compassionate leader to join our dedicated and high performing team of Hospital Ambulance Liaison Officers (HALOs) in Chelmsford.
Our team engages with Broomfield Hospital a to ensure that we achieve our own trust objectives whilst still committing to support those of the wider system. At the same time, we aim to support our staff making this an exceptional place to work, volunteer and learn as we provide an outstanding quality of care to our patients.
If you think that you would be a good fit for this role then we would like to hear from you.
Great healthcare requires great people. That's why we are doing everything we can to recruit committed, skilled people and to make sure we support our new and existing employees.
