The Role

We are always looking for Managers who use innovation and entrepreneurial flair, who have a passion for excellence that will inspire their teams and delight their guests. As Chief Engineer you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of the hotel including equipment, services, buildings and plant. You will act as project manager for any planned refurbishment work and be the central point of contact for all parties. You will also be expected to build and maintain good relationships with contractors and monitor their labour while they are on site. As the main technical manager at the hotels you will provide advice and guidance on all technical and building matters as well as supporting health and safety and ensuring that all statutory requirements are met. You will create a PPM programme and oversee implementation. You will also need the ability to lead a team and deliver results to deadlines through your people, with full responsibility for recruiting, managing and developing your team.

* Holds a trade qualification and/or built environments qualification

* Excellent communication skills

* Excellent organisational/planning skills

* NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications in Health and Safety Management
