Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Midwife to join the community-based midwifery team as a Public Health Midwife and Team Leader at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic, self-motivated and forward-looking midwife to provide excellence in clinical care for women with socially complex needs, and to provide effective midwifery management to a community midwifery team.

Key details include:
• To provide effective midwifery leadership and management to a team of midwives, working within the community setting.
• To deliver evidence-based midwifery care and promote women centred midwifery care in partnership with women and the multi-disciplinary team.
• To be the Public Health Midwife at an agreed number of GP practices within City & Hackney or Waltham Forest.
• To be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of midwifery care and management of women within the Children Centre area, with complex social, psychological and safeguarding needs.
• To co-ordinate the provision of midwifery care to this group of women during the antenatal and postnatal period.
• To network with other members of the Children Centre multi-agency team in providing enhanced services for the women within the designated area of City & Hackney or Waltham Forest.
