Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife to lead the Community Midwifery Teams at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for a proactive, dynamic, self-motivated and forward-thinking midwife to provide excellence in clinical care for women and effective midwifery management to the antenatal clinic team.

The candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be prepared to work closely within a multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will function as a change agent to promote clinical excellence and innovation of change.

Key duties include:
• To provide effective, dynamic, and cohesive midwifery leadership and management to a team of midwives, working in the acute hospital and community setting on a rotational basis.
• To deliver robust evidence-based midwifery care and promote individualised women centred midwifery care in partnership with women and other stakeholders.
• An integral part of the role will be the provision of clinical management and leadership
• To act as an exemplary role model and effective and pivotal resource to midwifery and other staff.
• To have competent and proficient IT knowledge and skills to aid effective communication throughout and management of the maternity unit.
