We are recruiting for a Technical Services Assistant to join our team.
To ensure that the Management Team, working within Riverside are aware of their responsibilities and targets with regards to food
safety, authenticity and legality. Managing internal auditing, providing support and training for production. This role will be a
support function for the site and will develop the necessary internal/external relationships to ensure that the site is recognised
as being forward thinking in terms of Food Safety, Quality and Authenticity. To provide support to Technical Services Manager on
projects that will ensure all QMS and compliance is successfully within the Riverside Bakery.

Location and shifts: Nottingham, Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5pm and Friday: 8:30am – 4pm
Salary: £35,000.00 annually
Your Duties Will Include:
* Internal audit management and non-conformances close outs
* Complete delivery artwork checks to ensure packaging delivered is correct for the legal compliance.
* Managing document control database.
* Issuing updated/ new documents to the appropriate departments
* Maintenance of the specific risk assessments where required.
* Auditing of BRC and customer standards
* Auditing procedures/ SOP’s
* Supporting production on all Technical related issues & escalating any issues where required
* Reporting on key KPIs, analysing trends and looking for ways to improve KPI results, working with Production where appropriate
* Maintenance of electronic data systems/ customer portals
* Ensure PAS documentation
* Database updates relating to raw materials and products with claims
* Raw material management for site (Gluten Free) Allergen and Raw material risk assessment.
* Participate in customer audits and visits
* Quarterly and annual reports for the management reviews.
* Annual RSPO and soya meal reporting
* RSPO management
* Cover for Technical Admin/ Technical Services Manager when required.
Your Skills and Experience:
* Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment
* Experience within technical admin role ideally retailer experience
* Experience with raw material management
* Previous experience with QMS system e.g. writing technical procedures / document control.
Qualifications:
* Food safety Level 3 – preferred
* Internal Auditing Training
* HACCP Level 3 – preferred
* Understanding of retailer Code of Practice & BRC requirements
* Previous food industry experience
