Summary


An opportunity has arisen for one full time and 1 part time assistant technical officer to join the Pharmacy Production Pre-Packing Unit at the Queens Medical Centre campus of the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

This role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and team working skills.

You will need to be accurate in your work and be familiar with good manufacturing practice (GMP). You will also be required to maintain competency and prove this with annual re-validation.

You must be able to work under pressure, be able to prioritise work and be able to work alone or as part of a team. You will participate in the training of staff new to the department and help to develop new systems of working.

You will be required to work towards a Buttercups Stock Management Programme (equivalent to an NVQ level 2 qualification).

You’ll need to be able to work either 37.5 hours or 18.75 hours over 7 days of the week as required and as the service develops, you may be required to work a shift system. The department offers a weekend and bank holiday on-call service which you will be expected to participate in once fully trained.

Due to COVID-19 and the Governments guidance on social distancing your interview may be carried out via Microsoft Teams. If this is the case you will be notified in advance so that if you don’t have the app you can download it either on to your phone or computer/laptop.

To work unsupervised in all aspects of the Pharmacy Pre Packing Unit.

To follow all the working procedures and guidelines in the Pre Packing Unit to ensure that all dispensing, assembling, over labelling and other activities are safe, accurate and compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practice, the Trust Risk Management policies and other legal licensing requirements.
