Summary
Applications are invited for a 10PA Locum Consultant Clinical Oncologist – Gynaecology to work on the Chelsea site of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust for 12 months.
This new post has been created to support and develop the clinical oncology Gynaecology Oncology service in the Chelsea site due to increasing workload and treatment complexity. The postholder will be responsible for external beam radiotherapy, brachytherapy and systemic therapies for women with gynaecological cancer. They will join the 5 existing gynaecology oncology clinical and medical oncology consultants to ensure there is a co-ordinated service for outpatient, inpatient and clinical trial care. They will work closely with the Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Chelsea, Dr Alexandra Taylor. Cross-cover for annual and study leave will be incorporated into the job plan, and joint radiotherapy audit meetings will be held to facilitate peer-review and teaching. Training in brachytherapy will be provided depending on the candidate’s experience.
