Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Manager in the Community and Children’s Services Division at Homerton Healthcare, due to the internal promotion of the existing post holder.

If you are a dynamic, visible and solution-focussed leader then this could be the ideal opportunity for you. We are looking for someone who will work with service leads within the community setting to optimise access and activity, streamline processes and improve the quality of services for patients and their families and the experience of our staff.

You will have line management responsibility for Community Paediatrics and Foot Health but will have performance oversight of all community services at Homerton Healthcare Foundation NHS Trust. You will also provide professional leadership, development and peer support for all operational managers within the division.

You will have responsibility for working with other key stakeholders to develop an estates strategy for community sites which aligns with our evolving clinical strategy and for managing the division’s capital bids and schemes. You will work with IT colleagues to optimise digital solutions for community services so that they are fit for purpose and enable flexible working.

You will be supported with your own personal development plan and have opportunities to deputise for the Divisional Operations Director.

Interview date: week commencing 29th April

The General Manager is responsible, with Clinical and Service Leads for the effective strategic and operational management of a number of key services within the Division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient services within the resources available. The post reports to the Divisional Operations Director and has a key role in providing business development support to the division. Service Managers for each designated area report to the General Manager. The General Manager will be responsible for providing professional and peer development support for operational managers across the whole Division, including those outside their line management remit.

The post-holder will deputise as appropriate for the Divisional Operations Director.
