Applications are warmly welcomed for a 12 month, fixed term post of Clinical Fellow in Uveitis/Neuro-Ophthalmology, ideally starting within three months of interview. The post itself is designed to provide sub-specialist training in uveitis and neuro-ophthalmology, as well as general ophthalmology care for patients at the Bristol Eye Hospital (BEH) which may include participation in our on-call rota.

Innovation is at our core at BEH. Most recently we were commended for our use of the NHS Nightingale Hospital Bristol, created to treat Covid patients, as a high-volume eye diagnostic assessment hub for medical retina patients during the pandemic. The Bristol Eye Hospital has a strong tradition of clinical, health service, epidemiological and basic science research with links to the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England. The Fellowship will include a commitment to one or two research projects during the appointment.

The post is available for those with a background in Surgical Ophthalmology or Medical Ophthalmology. It will provide advanced sub-speciality training in Uveitis and Neuro-ophthalmology.

Applicants should already have CCST or be entering into their 4th or 5th year of their training programme. Overseas applicants would normally be at the end of their local training scheme.

Please ensure your referees cover the last 3 years of your career.
