Salary: Band 8, £33,945 to £36,647 per annum

Contract: Fixed term for two years

The Service:

The marketing and communications team provides the council with a full marketing communications service, managing media relations, marketing, graphic design and internal communications, producing a range of publications and campaigns, maintaining the council's brand and corporate identity, and taking responsibility for digital platforms. We also provide similar services to our partner and client Gosport Borough Council.

The Role:

The Digital Marketing Officer is responsible for providing our team with dedicated expertise to ensure our digital marketing is performing at the highest possible level.

You will take responsibility for optimising the performance of social media and email marketing platforms, support colleagues to ensure their campaigns are successful, support the development of our digital marketing strategy, provide professional advice to colleagues, and lead on campaigns across both owned channels and paid for channels.

What you'll need to succeed:

You will have a degree in marketing or a related subject and/or experience in a digital marketing role, proven experience successfully leading on digital marketing for an organisation or major project, a good track record developing and delivering successful targeted digital marketing campaigns, proven knowledge and experience of creating and managing pay-per-click advertising campaigns, knowledge and experience of search engine optimisation, and excellent evaluation skills.
