We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Locum Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to work across our neurodevelopmental services. Experience of working with children and young people with Autism and developmental conditions is an essential requirement. The ideal candidate will have sound clinical and management skills, good interpersonal skills and will thrive within a busy multi-disciplinary team environment, and enjoy short term work, assessments and consulting to a wide range of colleagues, flexibly across two teams. The post is split between two innovative specialist teams offering support to children and young people with diagnosis of ASC and/or Learning disabilities.
0.4 WTE will be based in Autism and LD (ALD) team in the Tavistock Centre.
The Autism and LD team provides specialist assessment and treatment for young people up to the age of 25 with Autism and learning disabilities, who experience psychological and mental health difficulties. The team consists of a diagnostic assessment service and a treatment service. The post holder will be based in the treatment service, which mainly provides interventions for children and young people mainly from Barnet, and Haringey.
0.3 WTE of the post is based in Mosaic CAMHS. This is a comprehensive service which functions as part of an integrated service for children with disabilities in Camden, in partnership with CNWL, Royal Free, Whittington Health and Camden Local Authority. It offers an ideal service to work as a key member of a multiagency service offering assessment, intervention and consultation to children and families with a range of disabilities and to work with networks supporting these children.

This is a 7 PA post working across 2 well established specialist neurodevelopmental CAMHS teams:
TheTavistock Autism and Learning Disabilities Service (ALD Service) and TheCamden Mosaic Social Communication Assessment Service (SCAS) Service.
There are 4PAs in the Tavistock ALD Service and 3PAs in the Camden Mosaic SCAS Service.

Kentish Town Health Centre, Bartholomew Road, London NW5 2BX
ALD Service, Tavistock Centre, 120 Belsize Lane, London NW3 5BA
Contract:
One year fixed term Permanent 7 Programmed Activities (PAs) plus OOH on call 1 in 26 from home: OOH nurses and Specialist Registrars rotas in place.
Total PAs: 7 SPA: 1.5 DCC: 5.5
Accountable professionally to: Medical Director via the Head of the Psychiatric Discipline
Accountable operationally to: Chief Executive via the Clinical Services Director via the Associate Clinical Services Director of Community and Integrated Services, and the Clinical Services Manages and Team Managers.
