YHA Boggle Hole Welcomes You to a Unique Place of Work!
Wow, where do we start…known as YHA’s quirkiest hostel we are situated literally on the beach on the glorious North Yorkshire Moors Coast.
Sea swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking can all be enjoyed from our doorstep. The Cleveland way runs past the door and makes for beautiful clifftop walks to the old fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay (about a mile away).
There is a disused railway line which also runs along the coast making it one of the nicest bike routes anywhere.
If driftwood and beach art is your thing (you will fit right in) as most of the hostel is made from things we have found and we encourage you to get creative.
The team here has a strong eco focus, everything we can is recycled and or reused and we have a dedicated beach cleaning station on site.
Whitby our nearest town, home of the famous Abbey and Dracula is one of the UK’s loveliest coastal towns…regularly holding Goth and Steampunk weekends… it’s also nicely alternative, with loads of independent shops. Our live-in accommodation is situated right next to the Abbey on the headland looking over the town…you will need a car to get backwards and forwards to Boggle (but will benefit from being close to shops and pubs).
Business wise we are a crazy mix of Schools and Families on seaside holidays and we have an amazing Café/Bar on site, its hard work but very rewarding and we have a great team spirit.

The Role: A Seasonal Journey Awaits
As a Seasonal Team Member your contributions are key to delivering outstanding service. You'll find yourself in a role that is central to creating memorable experiences for all, regardless of your background or experience.
Your Responsibilities
Providing warm hospitality and great customer service to all our customers, members and guests.
Working on reception and offering insights about the hostel and the local area, ensuring every guest feels informed and welcomed.
Utilising our systems for efficient guest check-ins and check-outs and food & beverage sales and service.
Carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties, ensuring a comfortable and clean environment for all guests.
Assisting in the preparation of food in the kitchen and serving food and drinks with genuine warmth, hospitality, and pride that will influence in more sales. Suggesting enjoying dinner with us or offering a beverage or dessert as you assist with table service, ensuring a diverse and welcoming experience for all guests.
