Due to ongoing business growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Junior Software Developer, to join our agile team. As our successful candidate, you will work under the supervision of the Development Manager and Team Leads and will be involved in the development and maintenance of all Revolution systems.

You will be involved in all aspects of development, helping to write clean, efficient, and well-engineered code. You will be required to communicate professionally with other members of the development team, project stakeholders and our test/support team.

Also, part of the MSS group, Revolution is a dynamic software company producing innovative cloud-based solutions exclusively for Stonebridge Mortgage Solutions.

Responsibilities:

Along with ongoing development and maintenance of Revolution and other systems you will:


Write code and procedures that are testable and efficient and written to our coding standards
Help to build reusable code and libraries for future use
Work with front-line support and testers to identify and resolve bugs in both your code and the application as a whole
Develop and maintain a knowledge of how the system is used to help users and other staff members
Attend and participate in staff meetings e.g. Daily Scrum stand-ups, Design meetings, etc
Assist with other tasks and projects that relate to the production, maintenance and documentation of our digital platforms as needed


Requirements:


Demonstrable experience developing websites and applications
Experience of ASP.Net, either VB.Net or C# along with JS. Other languages and frameworks would be beneficial
Knowledge of MVC, .Net Core and Entity Framework
Git or alternative source management experience
Understanding and experience with HTML5, CSS3 and JQuery
Agile software development practices
An understanding of databases and ability to write SQL and stored procedures
A proactive person that enjoys technology and seeing the positive impact that their individual and team projects can have for colleagues and the wider business
