We are looking for either a highly specialist clinical psychologist or systemic family therapist and provide, develop, and oversee specialist therapy and psychological interventions to children, young people, and their families who are referred to Collingham Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient Service. The role will encompass delivering either specialist family therapy assessment and therapy or psychology interventions (based on individual training) to service users and their families/carers and advice and consultation to the professional network involved in their support. The post-holder will be part of the senior management team and will also manage and deputise for the Therapy Lead. The post holder will also provide clinical supervision to trainees and junior staff of their discipline and management supervision to other junior staff.
Successful applicants will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures and exercise responsibility for the deliverance of clinical practice within the service/team. They will also utilize research skills for audit and support policy and service development.

Compressed Hours pattern or 30 hour week can be considered
• To provide, develop, and ensure the provision of a highly specialist family and systemic psychotherapy service OR clinical psychology service for admitted children and their families including specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of outcomes.
• To provide specialist assessments and treatment to referred children, young people, and their families based upon the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of complex data from a variety of services.
• To formulate and implement plans for the formal treatment and/or management of mental health difficulties experienced by children and families presenting to Tier 4 inpatient CAMHS in line with research findings and evidence-based practice.

A unique service within CNWL:
Collingham Child and Family Centre is a Tier 4 Unit that provides specialist assessment and treatment to young people aged 5 -13 with serious mental health needs who are in crisis and require inpatient admission. It is part of the national network of CAMHS under-13 Inpatient units, providing excellent opportunities for networking and development of highly specialist skills.
Collingham has a multidisciplinary team that adopts an integrative and evidence-based approach to provide assessment and treatment of acute mental health difficulties including self-harm, suicidal ideation, disordered eating, and psychosis.
• Provide clinical and performance management appraisal and supervision of junior clinical staff and trainees and ensure any concerns around performance are communicated and acted on in line with Trust policies.
• Manage the workload of your supervisee and trainees within the framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
• To deputise for the Therapy Lead in providing management, support and appraisal for the Therapy Team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapist, Clinical Psychologists, Systemic Family Psychotherapist, Dietitian and a Social Worker.
• Participate as requested by Therapy Lead in recruitment and retention processes.
• To attend and contribute to Senior Management, Referral Management and Care Quality Performance Management Group (CQPMG) meetings.
• To deputise for the Therapy Lead to coordinate and chair Therapy Team meetings and to review Therapy Team processes when appropriate and in collaboration with the Therapy Lead.
