We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in housing and be open to a salary range of £30,000 to £45,000. We are open to candidates at various stages of their career, whether they are looking to make a name for themselves or nearing retirement. Chartership is not a requirement; we value experience over qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct quantity surveying duties on housing projects.
Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
Procure materials and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
Evaluate tenders and contracts, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
Monitor project progress and costs, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the housing sector.
Familiarity with construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., RICS) is advantageous but not essential.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary range: £30,000 to £45,000, depending on experience.
Additional benefits may include pension contributions.
