Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Basildon
Hours: Monday to Friday - 07:00-16:30.
Pay: £11.44 per hour
Job type: Temp to perm
Manpower is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client that specialises in the provision of comprehensive grounds maintenance services and contractors for both the public and private sectors.
The successful candidate will be working on a variety of schools in the local area and would suit someone who wishes to further their horticultural knowledge, or someone with an interest in gardening and the desire to work outside. As you will be working at schools the essential criteria would be to undergo an enhanced DBS check, hold a current driving license and ideally hold a PA1/PA6 Spray Certificate (if you do not have this then the company will put you through this once you have converted to a permanent contract). We will pay for your DBS check.
Ideal candidate will:
- 1 or more years' experience in horticulture.
- Full clean driving licence (essential).
- Knowledge of pedestrian lawn mowers and handheld machinery.
- Be able to work as part of a team or on their own.
Salary: plus, benefits including:
28 Days annual holiday including Bank holidays plus overtime when available.
