Crynodeb

Are you passionate about education and career progression? If so, read on.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an individual to lead the Partnership in expanding its career progression and apprenticeship service. Our Learning and Development team is looking to add an Apprenticeships Lead to their innovative team, whose focus will be on creating a culture of opportunities and development for our staff and local communities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the service and oversee the day to day operations related to careers and apprenticeships and be expected to be the specialist point of contact for managers and staff across all areas in the Trust. They will be responsible for the management and development of the Apprenticeships & Work Experience Specialist and also contribute to the development and delivery of other initiatives within the broader L&OD team.

One of the partnership's strategic objectives is to maximise the use of the apprenticeship levy. To that end, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, expansion and ongoing progression of all apprenticeships across all professions and at all levels across the Partnership, in line with the Partnership's learning needs analysis, including the commissioning and procuring of apprenticeship development programmes.

The successful applicant will act as a trust-wide Functional Skills (FS) Champion and promote the greater take-up by staff as part of their career progression aspirations and to raise awareness of the value of utilising functional skills in the workplace

Why choose to join the Partnership?
• We believe that by working together, our two Trusts can achieve more for the residents of North Central London and our patients than we can by working apart.
• Transforming and creating a positive environment for our service users, staff and visitors.
• Creating and working together to become a great place to work for all our staff.
• We offer flexible working, a wide range of health and wellbeing initiatives, NHS Pension and so much more.
• Generous Annual Leave Allowance
• NHS Discounts in a large variety of retail stores and services.
• We have excellent internal staff network support groups.

The postholder will need to be comfortable working in an environment of complex matrix management arrangements and will at all times behave and align with our Trusts’ values and cultural pillars:
• We are kind
• We are respectful
• We work together
• We keep things simple
• We empower
• We are proudly diverse

We are an organisation that is passionate about equality, diversity, and inclusion; one that prides itself in developing the leadership capabilities of its employees, looking after their health and wellbeing, creating safe places for staff to speak up and providing opportunities to mentor and be mentored. Our employees are the reason for delivering Good CQC ratings, excellent outcomes, and outstanding patient experiences, so it is our aim to create a happy and healthy working environment where you can thrive and succeed.
