Overview:
Coppersmith Recruitment is currently seeking a diligent and experienced Plant Operations Scheme (POS) Representative & Crane Controller on behalf of our esteemed client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of crane activities within the project site. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparation and issuance of POS Packs, ensuring accurate site details and comprehensive coverage of works to be carried out.
2. Collaborate in the development of OTP plans for assigned projects.
3. Control and manage relevant documents in alignment with project requirements.
4. Ensure timely delivery of works within set program and budget constraints.
5. Take ownership of employee health and safety, fostering a culture of safety on-site.
6. Oversee site operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
7. Ensure compliance of all operated plant work with internal procedures, POS Rules, and legislative standards.
8. Supervise site OTP operations, ensuring adherence to company protocols.
9. Provide required data, reports, and documentation as per company's POS procedure.
10. Undertake additional railway construction tasks as directed and deemed competent.
11. Plan and allocate resources effectively for project needs.
12. Authorize staff for material ordering and purchasing.
13. Act as a representative of the company in interactions with clients or their representatives.
14. Ensure full compliance with legal requirements, particularly in health, safety, and environmental matters.
15. Conduct Toolbox Talks and briefings to ensure clear communication of safety protocols and project updates.
16. Maintain positive relationships with clients and their representatives.
17. Ensure understanding and adherence to company procedures among team members.
18. Fulfill any other duties as reasonably requested by the company.
19. Participate in relevant training sessions to enhance competency within the role.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role within construction or related industry.
- Proficiency in health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize workload.
- Familiarity with crane operations and relevant safety protocols.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to undergo necessary training and development.
