Are you a seasoned Software Quality Assurance professional with a passion for leading high-performing teams and ensuring the delivery of top-notch software solutions? We have an exciting opportunity for a Software QA Manager who will play a pivotal role in our dynamic and innovative organization.
As a Test Manager, you will bring a unique blend of strategic thinking, coordination prowess, and hands-on expertise. The ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within an agile framework and stays current with best practices in test approaches, tools, and methodologies. Your strong technical background will enable you to absorb complex information, ensuring a deep understanding of system elements and interactions.
Responsibilities:
Lead testing efforts (for new features, regression, and performance) across multiple teams, demonstrating effective management and organizational skills.
Actively contribute to the development and execution of test strategies, incorporating automation and environment strategies aligned with CI/CD principles and best practices.
Provide support to Dev Leads, contribute to Project, and Test planning, and deliver high-level testing estimates.
Allocate and plan resources, provide status reporting, and offer guidance on testing techniques and approaches to ensure thorough application testing.
Build and lead a test team responsible for testing applications across the group of businesses, including Stonebridge and SDL Surveying.
Requirements:
Previous experience in System Testing & Integration testing.
Cultivate a culture of 'right the first time.'
Take ownership of the quality, reliability, and stability of our solutions.
Work experience in a multi-stream Agile delivery model.
Gatekeeping software and product releases, ensuring compliance with release requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide pragmatic solutions.
Detailed estimation experience for testing effort.
Understanding of and experience in managing a test automation strategy.
Familiarity with automated quality pipelines and their integration into testing processes.
Hands-on experience of Selenium or similar alternative to create automation tests for high-availability business systems
Experience with DevOps practices.
Proficient in producing effective management reports.
Experience in managing expectations and conflict.
Experience in liaising with and managing key stakeholders.
Proficiency in resource planning and management.
Knowledge of data governance, with a strong understanding of data dependencies and structures.
Full understanding of the project lifecycle and experience with various project development methodologies.
Experience in testing Web Services using tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, ReadyAPI, or Automated frameworks like Rest Assured or RestEasy.
Expertise in risk identification, management, and mitigation.
Mentor and contribute to the development of team members, actively participating in their performance plans.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in software testing.
