JOB OVERVIEW
As a domestic gas engineer you will be expected to undertake the servicing, repairing and maintenance of Domestic gas appliances and heating systems in accordance with current gas safe legislation.
Your job role will not be limited to gas works and will require elements of general plumbing and minor electrical works which we expect you to have the relevant experience and qualification to perform these tasks.
You will be expected to work safely by following H&S procedures whilst conducting your own ongoing risk assessment of hazards and dangers and reporting of all accidents, near miss events or potential hazards.
You will be expected to work professionally with a focus on completing works within the allocated time whilst focusing on quality and customer satisfaction.
Due to the nature of the job you will need to be prepared to participate in out of hours working, overtime or call outs.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will be seasoned professional with experience of having worked across a range of domestic gas appliances for which they are qualified.
Will have completed a recognised formal training and hold craft qualification, NVQ Level 2- 3 or equivalent.
Will hold ACS Qualifications CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT as a minimum
LPG & G3 will be advantageous but not essential
Full clean driving license is essential
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT, PAY, HOLIDAYS & BENEFITS
You will generally work between the hours of 9am to 5pm with a half hour unpaid for your dinner break
Your hourly rate will be £ 20 per hour / circa 39K plus overtime premium as required
You will be entitled to 20 days paid holiday plus paid bank holidays
You will receive a HMRC workplace pension
Company vehicle during company hours
Tools and equipment as necessary
