CT Lead Radiographer St Bartholomew's Hospital Nuffield Health | Permanent | Full Time Up to £56,000 per annum, dependent on experience 37.5 hours per week We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CT Lead to join the team in our brand-new flagship hospital for cardiac services in London. In 2022, we opened the doors to St Bartholomew's Hospital, Nuffield Health: The City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital. We also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynaecology and urology services. The new hospital consists of: 48 inpatient and day case bedrooms 28 consultation rooms Two digital operating theatres A Cardiac catheterisation lab and a hybrid theatre/Cath lab Specialist intensive care beds Oncology day unit Endoscopy and minor ops theatre Full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray Private GP We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly skilled CT radiographer with an established skillset in cardiac imaging who can lead the team at our London flagship hospital for cardiac services and develop the CT services to a high standard. You will work alongside the radiology manager to develop new policies and procedures and will be required to have a strong technical ability to provide support and guidance with complex imaging using our Dual Source Siemens CT scanner; the Somatom Force. Person Specific: BSC (Hons) degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent) Extensive training in CT with a special interest in Cardiac CT is essential A postgraduate qualification is desirable Experience of leadership is desirable College of Radiographers accredited IV cannulation course or equivalent is essential Is patient focused and demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Is proactive, good at problem solving and has a forward thinking approach to work. Offers understanding and empathy to patients, colleagues and visitors alike. Ensures a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver a high-quality diagnostic CT imaging service with a varied case load. To be responsible for the day to day organisation of the CT service. To develop the CT service that is progressive and responsive to service needs. As RPS for CT, you will have a responsibility for ensuring that we are compliant with IRMER and IRR2017. Supervise and develop junior colleagues. You will have responsibility for ensuring that radiographer training and competencies are up to date. You will be responsible for monitoring activity as well as managing resources + people Develop collaborative working relationships with consultants and other departments Work well with administration teams to ensure radiology reports are processed quickly and efficiently.
