Central London Community Healthcare (CLCH) is one of the largest community healthcare organisations in London and Hertfordshire, providing our services to diverse communities/boroughs in 11 London Boroughs.
Supporting people to receive care in their own home where possible is our focus and passion, and we are looking for highly motivated registered nurses committed to providing the best possible care to undertake the Post Graduate Diploma (Level 7) Specialist Practitioner Qualification(District Nursing)commencing inSeptember 2024.
This one-year full time course will be jointly undertaken with one ofour partneruniversities: London South bank University, or University of Hertfordshire. This is your chance to join our teams and to develop your career with the Trust. Alongside the support that you will receive from the University, you will be supported throughout your training by a Practice Assessor/Supervisors and the CLCH Academy.
This opportunity is being offered atband 5.
Criteria:
• You must be a qualified nurse with active registration on the NMC Nursing Register (NMC PIN number should be provided within the application)
• Must hold a 2.2 or above in a Nursing Degree (Level 6)
• Ability to study at level 7

The post holder will be responsible for:
gaining the knowledge, skills and competence required in order to exercise high levels of judgment, discretion and decision making in clinical care, focusing on four broad areas:
- Clinical practice
- Community Engagement
- Clinical practice development
- Leadership in clinical practice
• To fulfil the requirements of the Specialist Community Practitioner programme by attending university course dates and practice placement days in accordance with University regulations
• To work with the Community Practice Assessor to develop the skills and competencies to achieve NMC Registration Standards for Specialist Community Practice
• With the support of the Community Practice Assessor, to link the theoretical knowledge gained through the university programme to the practice situation
• To demonstrate an understanding of current and emerging National, Regional and local healthcare legislation, policies and guidelines as they pertain to District Nursing
• To develop/build on skills of caseload, team leadership and management
