We are seeking a hands on Property Maintenance Manager to lead our team in providing expert joinery work, roofing services, and comprehensive property maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in joinery / roofing and coupled with strong leadership skills, the ability to work at heights, a solution-oriented mindset, and the versatility to oversee a wide range of maintenance duties while actively participating in hands-on work.

You will have access to the necessary vehicles and tools required to carry out the role.

This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the structural integrity and functionality of our clients' commercial and domestic properties.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring efficient and effective completion of all roofing, joinery, and general maintenance tasks.
- Conduct and oversee thorough inspections of roofs and wooden structures to identify damage, delegating repairs, replacements, or installations, as necessary.
- Estimate labour and materials required for roofing and joinery projects, overseeing the provision of accurate quotes to customers.
- Enforce adherence to project timelines and completion deadlines, maintaining a hands-on approach to all tasks and supporting the team as needed.
- Implement and monitor strict safety protocols and procedures, especially when working at heights or with power tools, to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Foster collaboration within the team and with other maintenance technicians to efficiently complete projects and coordinate necessary repairs, upgrades, and installations.
- Keep the team updated on the latest building codes, best practices in roofing, joinery, and general property maintenance techniques.
- Oversee a broad spectrum of general property maintenance tasks.
- Adapt to the client’s evolving requirements, taking on additional responsibilities as needed and ensuring the team does the same.

You Will Have:

- Proven expertise and leadership in joinery and/or roofing, with a strong portfolio of previous work and management experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in joinery and/or roofing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role (preferred).
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- In-depth familiarity with relevant safety codes, building regulations, and industry standards related to both roofing and joinery.
- Demonstrated ability to work at heights and in various environmental conditions.
- Strong capability to perform and supervise physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and manual labour, with a hands-on approach to maintenance and repairs.
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping and the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, with exceptional carpentry and roofing skills for comprehensive property maintenance.
- Exceptional customer service, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills.
- Flexibility to manage emergency situations outside regular working hours, with a commitment to excellence in all maintenance endeavors.
