KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an IAP Residential Intervention Worker to join our team at our Box Tree Cottage Service. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • To contribute to the delivery of the risk management plan and report significant changes relating to risk of harm and/or of reoffending. Share key information and contribute to the ongoing risk assessment at meetings (including writing and updating of risk assessments)
  • To undertake prison, home or alternate location visits as required.
  • Carry out safeguarding duties in accordance with the statutory responsibilities and policies.
  • To establish and maintain effective liaison with colleagues; Offender Managers, PPU, Police and other agencies to monitor and review progress and ensure all relevant parties are aware of key risk factors.
  • To coordinate the induction of new clients to welcome them and to help them familiarise themselves with the environment and understanding of all rules and policies.

As an IAP Residential Intervention Worker, you will support the client to live more independent and crime-free lives by transforming their lives through the delivery of specialised and personalised interventions and supporting their reintegration into the community.

About BOX TREE COTTAGE

Our Independent Approved Premises provides support to 17 clients and we also support up 24 clients in our dispersed properties. We are a small and friendly team who have a passion for helping individuals with support needs to help them develop life skills, enabling them to live fulfilled lives. We work closely with Police and Probation to ensure that our clients are supported to develop the skills they need to live crime-free lives.
