Your new company
You will be working for a national provider of children's residential care. This company has an excellent reputation in the industry for providing high quality care and support to children and young people who have had traumatic starts in life.
Your new role
As a residential support worker at one of their Spalding homes, you will be supporting and nurturing the young people in your care. You will assist them in their daily routines and activities and act as a positive adult role model, offering safety, stability and guidance.
A lot of the young people in the homes are experiencing mental health difficulties and often present self-destructing behaviours, so you will be required to de-escalate and safeguard at all times.
You will work a rota pattern that consists of 24-hour shifts (a long day shift/ sleep in and handover).
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a caring individual with experience in either the children's social care sector or the mental health sector. It is essential that you have a patient and resilient personality.
You may be required to assist the young people in attending activities so a driving licence is essential.
