About the nursery:
BarBar is an established small nursery group with three settings in Gloucestershire and have been helping families with their childcare needs for 17 years. At all of our settings we promote a relaxed and happy atmosphere to enable the children to feel safe, settled and secure, whilst providing a stimulating learning environment and preparing children for the next stages of their lives.
Our nursery teachers’ benefit from an open-door policy with management and owners- views of the teachers are encouraged, valued and supported- so why not join our team soon!
Requirements for this role:
· Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years or equivalent
· Management/Leadership experience
· Thorough knowledge and understanding for the EYFS and CoEL
· Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding
· Knowledge and understanding of SEND
Great understanding of planning, child’s development and how to create an effective learning environment.
At least 2 years’ experience in an early years setting
Desirable attributes for this role:
· A capability to use initiative and to inspire ideas
· A willingness to learn and undertake training necessary to support the role and the manager and staff teams
· Knowledge of OFSTED inspections
· SENCo trained with the willingness to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
· DSL trained
· First Aid trained
· Food Hygiene trained
