Lead Nurse for Patient Flow ECV division

Band 8a

An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, dynamic individual to join our Site Management Team, as a Lead Nurse for Patient Flow and Site Management.

The post holder will be a key member of the site management team as well as the deputy to the Head of Nursing. You will be expected to lead and co-ordinate the site team in the absence of the Head of Nursing as well as support the management of the multiple teams that make up the patient flow section of our Elegancy Care Village. You will be involved with managing capacity to support effective clinical flow and maintain patient safety. The need to balance emergency and elective demands effectively will be critical components of the role and as a senior nurse you will work alongside managers and clinical partners to keep our patients safe.

The successful applicant will be a role model who inspires confidence, demonstrates excellent communication, organisation, decision-making and problem-solving skills. You will have the ability to collate complex information from multi-factorial sources, have confidence to escalate issues outside of the role responsibilities and lead on improvement projects.

We are looking for candidates with operational, management and leadership skills. Your attention to detail is essential with the ability to work within an unpredictable and pressured environment at pace, where operational priorities may change at short notice to meet timeframes for access to patient-focused pathways and clinical need.

A flexible and committed work ethos is required, with an open mind to change, whilst working within 24/7 service provision as part of a rotational team. You will be a self-motivated individual with a positive ‘can do’ attitude who has supervisory experience within a team.

If you are looking for a new challenge or change in direction; and have the attributes required for this post, as outlined in the person specification, we would like to hear from you.
