Do you want to join the largest fleet operator in the UK? Do you want to take the next step and develop your career?We are now recruiting Vehicle Technicians at Warrington Workshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £46k including overtime.
Salary: £35,364 per annum plus a shift allowance of £78.00 per week when working 13:30 - 22:00. A weekend supplement for Saturday (£50 per attendance) is applicable where duty hours (not overtime) are performed. Overtime is paid at 1.25x hourly rate. The hourly rate is £19.34 per hour
Working Hours: Full time - 39.5 hours per week (rotating shift pattern; weeks 1&2 : working between 06:00 - 14:30, week 3: working between 13:30 - 22:00). Saturday working will be required on a rotational basis once every 3 weeks.

• LCV-HGV training program. Royal Mail maintains a range of vans/trucks and trailers and we welcome applications from those willing to develop their skills. If your working background is mainly in the light vehicle sector Royal Mail will provide inhouse and external training to help develop your career in the HGV industry, including MOT inspection standards, LOLAR regulations training and vehicle diagnostics training
The Role

We are looking for professional vehicle technicians to perform a full range of inspections, diagnosis, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicle, trailers and mechanical equipment operated by Royal Mail Group. As a team player who takes real pride in their work, you’ll be prepared to go the extra mile to ensure the job is done effectively. As an experienced technician you will have your own personal toolkit equipped to undertake routine maintenance and repair of light/heavy vehicles. Specialist tooling and equipment will be provided for common use by everyone within the workshop.
Successful candidates must be fully qualified to at least advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance & repair or an equivalent qualification) and have proven (via CV) experience of working on a wide range of vehicles for example LCV/LGV. We also require you to have a full manual driving licence (LGV preferred with trailer experience).
