Job description
In this role, your duties include creating applications from the ground up, ensuring that developments are error-free, configuring existing systems, and providing user support.
To ensure success in this position, you should be able to write functional code and possess experience in identifying and resolving defects. Your primary objective will be, but not limited, to collaborate with our teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions.

Job description
- Eastern Education Group, Bury St Edmunds & Ipswich
- 37 hours per year, 52 weeks per year - Permanent
- Salary: £ 36,501 per annum
In this role, your duties include creating applications from the ground up, ensuring that developments are error-free, configuring existing systems, and providing user support.

Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements analysis.
- Collaborate with co-workers to facilitate production of software design and architecture.
- Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages.
- Reformulate existing code to ensure following stipulated guidelines.
- Test and deploy applications and systems.
- Prepare test-based applications prior to their production date.
- Occasionally, update, upgrade, revise, refactor and debug code.
- Use end user's feedback to improve existing software/services.
- Develop documentation and technical specifications throughout the software development life cycle.
- Actively, serve as an expert on applications/services and provide technical support.
- Monitor daily activities of software systems and take required support actions.
- Proven experience as a .NET developer or application developer.
- Be familiar with the ASP.NET Core & framework, Microsoft SQL Server, My SQL and design and patterns (Model-View-Controller (MVC)).
- Good knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML/CSS.
- Prior experience is required - at least 3 years of hands on.
- Be master in troubleshooting as well as communication and coordination skills.
- BSc/BA in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field.
- Be trained in web design, software engineering or similar.
