HGV Class 1 Weekend DriverWorkchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV Class 1 Weekend Driver for our esteemed client in Birmingham. This is a temporary position within the driving industry, offering an attractive pay rate of £21.00 per hour.Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle during weekends- Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely manner- Adhere to all relevant road transport legislation and company policies- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries and collections- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring goods are handled with care- Collaborate with colleagues and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations- Communicate effectively with the transport team and report any issues promptly- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environmentQualifications:- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 driving license- Possess a valid CPC card and digital tachograph- Previous experience in driving HGVs, preferably in a similar role- Excellent knowledge of road transport legislation and tachograph laws- Strong attention to detail and commitment to working to high standards- Ability to effectively manage time and meet tight delivery deadlines- Exceptional communication skills and a professional and friendly demeanor- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a teamIf you are an experienced HGV Class 1 Weekend Driver looking for temporary work in Birmingham, this opportunity is for you.
