Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver - Temporary
Job Location: Swadlincote

This is a temporary position within the driving industry, providing an excellent opportunity for skilled drivers looking for flexible work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle, adhering to all relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects or issues promptly- Load and unload materials or products, ensuring proper securing and handling techniques are implemented- Plan and organize delivery schedules, ensuring timely collections and deliveries to designated destinations- Communicate effectively and professionally with the transport team and customers, providing updates on journey progress and resolving any queries or issues that may arise- Complete all required paperwork accurately, including delivery notes, time sheets, and vehicle checklists- Maintain a thorough understanding of all applicable road traffic laws and regulations- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment
Qualifications and Skills:- Valid HGV Class 1 license (C+E)- Valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card- Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 driver, with a strong track record of safe and efficient driving- Excellent knowledge of UK road networks and the ability to efficiently plan routes- Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete paperwork accurately- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Effective communication and customer service skills- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Pay Rate: £14-£15.50 per hour
