Job Title: HGV Class 2 DriverWorkchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver for a position with our respected client in Leicester. Starting at 6am you will be doing 9 to 10 hours per day.Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle, adhering to all applicable traffic laws and regulations.- Complete deliveries and as assigned, ensuring accurate and timely transportation of goods.- Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections, reporting any issues or defects.- Assist in loading and unloading cargo, ensuring it is properly secured for transportation.- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or damages.- Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers, providing updates on delivery schedules, delays, or any relevant information.- Adhere to health and safety guidelines to guarantee a safe working environment for yourself and others.Qualifications:- Valid HGV Class 2 license, with a clean driving record and no more than 6 penalty points.- Previous experience in a similar driving role, specifically operating an HGV Class 2 vehicle.- A valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.- Strong knowledge of local and national road networks, demonstrating good navigation skills.- Excellent time management and organizational abilities, ensuring prompt and punctual deliveries.- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear and concise interaction with the transport office, customers, and colleagues.- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.Pay Rate: £13.00 per hourTo apply for this position, please visit our website workchain.co.uk and complete the online application form.
