PA required for a 16 year old with high anxiety and PDA, in the Chew Valley area

Main duties:
· Support with accessing the community and increasing independence
· Allow this young person to take part in social activities with a trustworthy adult
allowing them to build upon relationships with their peers
Essential Requirements:
· DBS Check.
· Clean UK driving license and own car essential.
· PA will need to be able to use PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) strategies –
please see https://www.pdasociety.org.uk/ for more information/training can be given.
· Must be confident in using de-escalation techniques
Personal Qualities and Attributes:
· Ability to act in an understanding, patient, trustworthy, calm and non-judgmental manner.
· Remain confident, fun, enthusiastic and an outgoing personality.
· Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to use them.
Pay and HoursRate of Pay: £12.60 per hourHours: 16 hours per week in school holidays, 12 hours per week term time, with 1 overnight per month if possible
Flexibility surrounding days/times worked
Start date: October 2023 onwards
