Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a 3-month contract with a well-established food distribution company operating throughout Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking consistent full-time hours, reliable weekly pay, and the chance to gain valuable experience within a fast-paced distribution environment.
Newly qualified (new pass) drivers are welcome to apply.
Working Hours
3-month contract
Monday to Friday
Occasional weekend shifts available
Typical start times of 7:00am or 11:00am
Full-time hours with overtime available during busy periods
The Role
Delivering food products to commercial customers across local and regional routes
Completing multi-drop deliveries in a Class 2 vehicle
Working alongside a driver's mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently
Assisting with loading and unloading where required
Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and defect reporting
Completing delivery documentation accurately
Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times
Pay Rates
Monday to Friday
PAYE
£14.50 per hour
£19.32 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
£16.25 per hour
£21.66 per hour after 8 hours

Weekly pay
Overtime opportunities available
Holiday pay accrued (unless PAYE Advanced is selected)
Consistent full-time hours throughout the contract

Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
Driver CPC qualification
Digital Tachograph card
Maximum 9 penalty points
No DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements

Positive attitude and willingness to learn
