Duties as Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils’ learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 under the direction of the class teacher
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and promote progress
- Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and daily routines
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional development
- Support pupils with additional needs where required
- Encourage engagement, confidence, and independence in learning
- Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times
- Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement
- Represent Step Teachers professionally while working as a Primary Teaching Assistant
Ideal Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working as a Primary Teaching Assistant or in a primary school setting
