Join the KEPS Team: Seeking an Exceptional Teacher - Year 3 (Maternity Cover – 0.6 FTE)

Role: Year 3 Class Teacher (Main Scale)

King Edwin Primary School (KEPS), Edwinstowe

Contract: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)

At King Edwin Primary School, we pride ourselves on a culture of consistency, excellence, and shared ambition. We are currently looking for an outstanding practitioner to join us for three days a week to cover a maternity leave in Year 3.

In Year 3, our children transition into Key Stage 2, a pivotal moment in their academic journey. We aren't looking for a "gap-filler." We are looking for an exceptional teacher who will step into this role with the energy and professional rigor required to be a true #KingEdwinner. You will work closely with your job-share partner to ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for our pupils.

The Profile of Excellence We are seeking a teacher who can demonstrate:

• Seamless collaboration: You are a great communicator who understands how to thrive in a job-share, ensuring that planning, assessment, and pastoral care are perfectly synchronised.

• Pedagogical precision: You have a deep understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum and the ability to deliver lessons that are both challenging and highly engaging.

• High-impact teaching: You possess the skills to quickly build strong relationships with Year 3 pupils, maintaining high expectations for behaviour and academic outcomes from day one.

• A commitment to quality: You take pride in all that you do. You understand that "good enough" isn't the KEPS way; we strive for excellence in all areas of school life.

• Professional character: You are resilient, reflective, and ready to contribute to the wider life of our school community during your time with us.

What the school offers its staff

Why Join the KEPS Team?

• A supportive partnership: You will be paired with an experienced colleague in a school that values teamwork and professional dialogue.

• Our pupils: Our Year 3 children are at a wonderful age - ready to take on more independence and eager to be inspired by a creative and dedicated teacher.

The KEPS atmosphere:

Even in a part-time capacity, you will be a fully integrated member of our "awesome team." We don't do "temporary" mindsets; you will be a valued #KingEdwinner from the moment you arrive. There may even be an opening and an opportunity to stay beyond the fixed contract.

How to Apply:

If you are an exceptional teacher looking for a high-quality part-time role in a school that refuses to settle for second best, we want to hear from you.

Please submit your application form, along with a formal letter of application to the School Office (office@kingedwin.notts.sch.uk). In your letter, please outline your experience in detail and explain how you will ensure a seamless, exceptional learning journey for our Year 3 pupils during this maternity cover.
