Summary

Paston College is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Lecturer to join our successful A Level team, teaching Politics and Sociology to motivated sixth-form students.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic teacher who is passionate about their subject and committed to delivering high-quality, engaging lessons. You will bring politics and sociology to life through active learning, discussion, debate and innovative classroom activities, setting high expectations for student achievement and participation.

You will take on Course Leadership responsibility for A Level Politics, alongside planning and delivering A Level Sociology. The role includes responsibility for student progress, outcomes and academic support, ensuring learners are challenged, supported and inspired to achieve their full potential.

Beyond the classroom, you will play an active role in the wider college community. This includes contributing to open evenings, taster days and promotional events, as well as engaging with parents and other stakeholders through events such as parents’ evenings.
