As a Parenting Coordinator, you are a motivated and organised professional with a genuine passion for supporting children, young people and families. You bring experience of working with parents or within family support, early years or community services and understand the importance of accessible, high-quality parenting provision.
You are confident working both independently and as part of a wider partnership, with the ability to build positive relationships across a range of services. Strong organisational skills come naturally to you and you are comfortable coordinating programmes, managing competing priorities and ensuring services run smoothly. You are proactive, adaptable and committed to making a positive impact in your community.
About the team…
Our Best Start in Life team is a newly developing, ambitious service focused on improving outcomes for children and families across Bracknell Forest. We are a collaborative and supportive team that values innovation, partnership working and continuous improvement.
We work closely with colleagues across early years, children’s social care (CSC), health services and the voluntary and community sector to deliver a joined-up approach for families. As part of this dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to help shape and develop our parenting offer from the ground up, contributing to a service that is responsive, inclusive and impactful.
Key responsibilities…
Forecast and plan sessions within the BSIL team and Family Hubs for the year.
Liaise with parents and professionals, booking parents onto courses.
Work alongside Early Years, CSC and other stakeholders (internal, external, and voluntary) to coordinate targeted and universal parenting courses, ensuring the BSIL parenting offer reaches our most vulnerable families.
Lead on the parenting referral process and develop a robust new recording system.
Provide written reports to senior managers and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in line with confidentiality and GDPR requirements.
Facilitate four groups per week across the Family Hubs.
Work alongside the Parenting Lead to motivate and support facilitators across Early Help.
Implement an audit and quality assurance process for all existing parenting courses and report on outcomes to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Collect, collate and report on parental feedback following course completion.
Maintain the training plan for Early Help facilitators, identifying training needs and sourcing appropriate training to ensure seamless delivery.
Provide evidence of course attendance in line with Supporting Families criteria.
