We are looking to appoint a Teacher Apprentice for Key Stage 2 to join our team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to begin their journey into teaching while making a meaningful contribution to school life from the outset.
About the role
The successful candidate will:
train through a Postgraduate Teacher Apprenticeship route leading to QTS
work closely with experienced colleagues and mentors
gradually take increasing responsibility for planning, teaching and assessment
contribute fully to the life of a mixed-age Key Stage 2 class (likely Year 3/4)
develop strong classroom practice within a supportive and collaborative team
This role would suit someone who is committed to becoming an excellent primary teacher and is keen to learn through classroom experience alongside structured training.
About the apprenticeship programme
Training will be delivered through an accredited Initial Teacher Training provider, alongside a structured in-school mentoring programme.
The successful candidate will receive:
dedicated mentoring support
protected study time (20% off-the-job training)
opportunities to work across the primary phase
high-quality professional development within a supportive staff team
the opportunity to gain Qualified Teacher Status
