Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Class Teacher to join a supportive alternative provision in Hartlepool. This role involves working with pupils who have SEMH needs, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that support both academic progress and emotional development.

Location: Hartlepool
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Temporary until July 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Pay Rate: £130 - £210 per day (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Support pupils with SEMH needs, promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
- Build strong relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
- Implement behaviour management strategies effectively
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with SEMH, SEND, or in alternative provision (desirable)
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
- Ability to build positive relationships and inspire pupils
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
