Summary


Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust has an exciting vacancy for a part time nursery nurse to join the West Berkshire health visiting team.


We are looking for a highly organised, motivated nursery nurse to join the team to support the health visiting service in West Berkshire. The team are responsible for providing a service to children and their families aged 0-5 that live within the West Berkshire boundary.


The ideal candidate will have good organisational, IT and communication skills with a passion for the health and well-being of children aged 0-5 years and their families.


The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as part of a supportive and friendly team where they will be supported to develop their skills.


You must be a driver and have use of a car.

• To provide support to families within a variety of community settings under the direction of the Health Visitor, taking into account the diverse needs of the community.

• To plan and deliver health enhancing activities for children and their families to include working in groups, child health clinics, developmental review clinics, postnatal groups and on an individual basis.

• To provide support to families using the Solihull approach model in behaviour management, parenting skills and delivering programmes of care to vulnerable families as identifiedby the health visitor.

• To support breastfeeding and parent infant relationships applying the Unicef UK Baby Friendly Initiative standards.

• To be fully aware and understand of local safeguarding policies and procedures.

• To work in partnership with Children Centres and Early Years settings to promote health and well-being of the local population.

• To support new staff and students in placement by contributing to the provision of a suitable learning environment and experience.

• To participate in clinical and child protection supervision.

• To liaise with other agencies and services to provide integrated and cohesive support for children and their families, under the direction of the health visitor.

• To maintain accurate, contemporaneous and comprehensive records of care.

• To provide care that is evidence based and supportothers in developing their practice.
