The post holder is a senior leader within the Estates & Facilities Directorate, providing strategic, commercial and contractual leadership across the full range of Estates & Facilities services.



The role includes serving as Contract Manager for all Estates and Facilities Management (FM) contracts, including Soft FM services, retail, catering, estates maintenance, energy management and specialist service contracts. The post holder will ensure the highest standards of contractual management, financial performance, governance, compliance and customer experience across all service areas.



The post holder will support the Deputy Director of Estates & Facilities and the Head of Estates and Facilities Operations, contributing to and implementing the strategic direction of the Directorate. They will lead the development of commercial, contractual, performance and benchmarking functions, delivering high-quality, value-for-money services that support organisational objectives and statutory obligations.
• Provide senior leadership across Estates & Facilities commercial and contractual functions.
• Lead and influence the strategic development of Estates & Facilities services, ensuring alignment with Trust objectives and national NHS policy.
• Lead the development of commercial strategy and contract management frameworks for all Estates & Facilities services,ensuring opportunities for innovation, efficiency and market engagement are maximised.
• Work in partnership with the Associate Director and Deputy Director in delivering efficient, sustainable and patient-focused services.
• Develop and manage long‑term supplier and market engagement plans, identifying opportunities for collaboration, improved value for money and service transformation.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

• Act as Trust Contract Manager for all Estates & Facilities contracts, including but not limited to Soft and Harf FM, retail, catering, estates maintenance, utilities and specialist services.
• Develop and implement robust contract governance, performance management and assurance frameworks.
• Ensure contracts deliver best value, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Manage contract negotiations, variations and dispute resolution where required,ensuring financial, legal and operational impacts are managed effectively.Ensure compliance with NHS procurement regulations and public sector contracting standards.

· Manage procurement, contracts, and service-level agreements, ensuring best value.
• Develop and manage long‑term supplier and market engagement plans, identifying opportunities for collaboration, improved value for money and service transformation.
• Provide senior leadership in the full contract lifecycle, including strategy development, tendering, evaluation, mobilisation, performance management and re‑procurement.
