We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably qualified member of staff to support the schoolandrsquo;s Senior Leadership Team in leading on Health and Safety across the schoolandrsquo;s sites. Health and Safety Manager - Permanent Grade 6

andnbsp;

The role includes:



andbull; Acting as the main Health and Safety Officer for the School, ensuring a safe working and learning environment in accordance with relevant legislation.

andbull; Preparing Health and Safety reports for the Governors.

andbull; Keeping appropriate records, ensuring that they are available for inspection and provide statistical and other returns, as required, to the Headteacher, Governors and Local Authority.

andbull; Keeping up to date with changes to legislations, (especially health and safety) and best practice in facilities management.

andbull;andnbsp; Create / review / monitor and evaluate the quality of all premises risk assessments.

andbull; Provide ad hoc cover for the caretaker as needed

andbull; Attend staff briefing meetings on a regular basis to report on health and safety.

andbull; Accurately record and upload accidents to the health and safety team, liaising with them when necessary and ensuring that any recommendations are actioned.



The successful candidate will:

andbull; have excellent communication skills

andbull; be able to work methodically, thoroughly and to a consistently high standard to ensure work is carried out effectively and efficiently

andbull; be able to supervise a team and work alone as required

andbull; be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
