We are looking for a Head of Welfare and Safeguarding to join our team. This is an exciting and pivotal role, which will require a fully committed individual to provide exceptional levels of support, in line with our mission statement of 'Creating Brighter Futures'.

As the Head of Welfare and Safeguarding you will play a vital role in championing the wellbeing and support of all students by ensuring that Weston College is a safe and inclusive environment.

You will also be one of the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads for the College, and will be the operational lead responsible for all safeguarding matters and in support to the Designated Safeguarding Lead you will develop a proactive safeguarding culture for the Weston College community.

If you have significant experience of managing pastoral and welfare related services within a large organisation, experience of supporting diverse client groups and a track record of multiagency working with positive outcomes, then this may be the role for you.

You will have various responsibilities across 4 key areas:

  • Learner Welfare and Wellbeing
  • Safeguarding and Prevent
  • Leadership and Accountability
  • General Safeguarding Responsibilities
