Cherrybrook Care Home is a large, purpose designed service in Bradford, providing specialist care across two units for 120 residents with complex mental health needs, dementia and challenging behaviours. The home delivers high quality, clinically led care within a structured and supportive environment, combining specialist nursing expertise with a strong focus on dignity, stability and person centred support.

Activities Coordinator

  • £12.71 per hour
  • 40 hours per week, including alternate weekends
  • Pension, paid DBS, uniform provided
  • Onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As an Activities Coordinator, you will plan and deliver structured, meaningful activities that support residents’ emotional wellbeing, engagement and daily routine within a complex care environment. Your role will focus on creating opportunities for both group interaction and one to one engagement.

You will take time to understand each resident’s background, interests and needs, ensuring activities are appropriate, inclusive and tailored. Your approach will support individuals living with dementia and complex mental health needs, helping to build confidence, reduce isolation and promote a sense of purpose.

Working closely with the care team, you will ensure activities align with care plans and contribute to a positive and consistent environment across the home. Your role will have a direct impact on residents’ quality of life and overall experience.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience delivering activities, engagement or group sessions
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach with the ability to engage others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan and organise a varied activities programme
  • Understanding of dementia and mental health needs within a care setting
  • A background in areas such as events, music or art is beneficial but not essential
